We're looking for a proactive, people-focused Recruiter who understands the challenges of hiring for labor-intensive roles and can connect with workers from all backgrounds.
Position Summary:
The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates for roles in both our construction crews and ranch operations. This role requires a strong understanding of labor staffing, field recruiting techniques, and an ability to match candidates to roles that suit their skills, experience, and work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for construction and ranch roles
Write and post job ads on appropriate platforms (Indeed, Craigslist, local classifieds, social media, etc.)
Attend job fairs, community events, and other in-person recruitment opportunities
Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate pre-employment requirements (references, drug testing, onboarding documents, etc.)
Build relationships with local schools, workforce development offices, and vocational training centers
Work with managers to understand staffing needs and timelines
Maintain applicant tracking and regularly update recruitment status reports
Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires
Qualifications:
2+ years of recruiting experience (experience in blue-collar or labor-intensive industries preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life
Familiarity with recruiting platforms, social media, and grassroots recruiting strategies
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple open roles at once
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for recruiting events or site visits
