Note: The hourly rate for this position is $27 - $29 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and align complex mechanical systems and machinery, including turbines, pumps, compressors, and conveyor systems, with high accuracy using precision instruments (laser alignment, dial indicators, micrometers)
Ensure machinery is set up according to manufacturer specifications and blueprints, achieving precise tolerances for optimal functionality
Utilize machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, grinders) to fabricate or modify parts when necessary
Use a variety of precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and laser alignment systems to ensure accurate tolerances and alignment of machinery
Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and functionality of completed work, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Interpret and work from technical blueprints, schematic diagrams, and engineering specifications to determine machine components and their placement
Machine and fabricate custom parts as needed using manual or CNC machines, ensuring precise tolerances for fit and function
Operate welding equipment to join or repair metal components according to specifications, following industry standards and safety protocols
Adhere to strict safety regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
Maintain knowledge of current OSHA standards, industry codes, and local regulations to ensure compliance during installations, repairs, and maintenance
Scope of Work: Unload and stage equipment in the client-provided unloading and staging area
Unload delivered equipment from open transport trailers to the adjacent storage area location 50 trucks to unload
Qualifications:
Have OSHA 10 Certification
5 or more years of proven experience as an Industrial Millwright- Industrial Maintenance
Have knowledge of mechanical systems, precision machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermodynamics
Ability to work with extreme precision and accuracy, ensuring minimal deviations from specifications
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify the root causes of mechanical issues and develop efficient solutions
Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with heavy equipment and machinery in confined or challenging environments
Knowledge of safety procedures and standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and equipment safety protocols
Able to work at least 50 hours a week and overtime if needed
Have tools of the trade and bring them to work daily
Ability to communicate verbally, and work well with others in a construction setting
