ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Coordinating and overseeing daily field operations, construction site readiness, subcontractor scheduling, vendor management, and customer satisfaction across home improvement, new construction, and commercial build-out projects
CLASSIFICATION: W-2 Employee
COMPENSATION: $35.00 - $20/hour
ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: Yes - Required for construction site visits and supplier meetings (local/regional)

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of construction project logistics, subcontractor deployment, materials procurement, and customer updates. This position ensures job sites are running efficiently, that timelines are being met, and that communication between clients, crews, and vendors remains smooth and productive.
The role balances field oversight with administrative coordination, and is critical to the success of multi-site residential and commercial construction projects.
SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Construction Project Oversight
Coordinate timelines for multiple concurrent projects across residential and commercial sectors Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, safety, and quality standards Communicate project updates and next steps to clients and internal leadership Monitor vendor and subcontractor timelines and deliverables Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
Assign jobs to appropriate trade partners (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry) Review scopes of work and confirm execution aligns with contract expectations Ensure required materials, permits, and inspections are secured and scheduled Maintain positive vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms when needed Logistics & Scheduling
Maintain construction calendars and adjust timelines based on real-time changes Track material orders, delivery confirmations, and inventory utilization Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely drop-offs and returns Assist with utility coordination and inspections for new builds and major improvements Customer Service & Quality Assurance
Serve as the point of contact for client walkthroughs and updates Resolve client concerns or escalations in coordination with the COO Document punch lists and ensure final inspections are completed Uphold high standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and craftsmanship on every job site Administrative Support
Update project management software and internal dashboards Submit job reports, progress photos, and labor hours Track warranty work, change orders, and cost variances Assist with invoicing and accounts payable coordination as needed UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fill in for site supervisors during emergencies Support emergency response efforts for time-sensitive project adjustments Participate in strategic planning meetings with leadership Support OSHA and local safety compliance across all job sites PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regular standing, walking, and climbing during site visits Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs) Use of company vehicle for site-related travel WORKING CONDITIONS:
Field-based with routine office coordination (hybrid) Construction site exposure with seasonal weather conditions Interaction with contractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's in construction management or business management required; Masters in Construction Management or business management preferred Minimum 3 years in residential or commercial construction coordination, project management or supervision Strong knowledge of construction workflows, permitting, and scheduling Proficient in Google Workspace and project tracking software Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in new home construction and multi-phase renovations Familiarity with Procore, Buildertrend, or other construction software OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Trade background (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, etc.) is a plus
