To maintain the building and grounds in a safe and secure condition, to provide the proper environment for patients/residents, families, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform groundskeeping work including but not limited to the use of tractors, lawn mowers, trimmers, rakes, shovels, snow blowers, etc. Assist in maintaining vehicles and equipment including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, safety inspections, etc. Complete and maintain all documentation related to the above tasks. Attend formal training/education to improve and/or advance position skills Assist in maintaining compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations (DHS.83). Report any non-compliance to supervisor or Safety Director. Performs minor building repairs under the direction of other maintenance department personnel as needed. Participate in department meetings, fire drills, elopement and other disaster drills Properly use, store and dispose of Hazardous, flammable and combustible chemicals and materials. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Plant Maintain building upkeep- furnace filter replacements and furnace cleaning Give support to staff and clients as needed Install, assemble, and maintain medical equipment Perform building maintenance including rough carpentry, painting, and dry wall and ceiling repair Performs plumbing troubleshooting and repair Performs minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs including electric bed installation, removal, carpentry, and other repairs Projects responsibilities and costs of project completion. Orders supplies with supervisor approval Manage and submit all Maintenance Credit Card receipts to finance after all purchases Participate in department meetings, fire drills, elopement and other disaster drills Assist in the areas as directed including but not limited to taking down and setting up beds as needed Adheres to Lakeview policies and procedures including performing other duties as assigned by the Director Qualifications:

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:

Able to read and write in English. Ability to rotate shifts and days off as required to perform assignments. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patients/residents. Emotional stability necessary to perform essential functions in patient/ resident areas. Knowledge of fire and safety codes. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Education: High School, with degree/certification from a vocational/technical training program preferred or consideration of work history will be evaluated.

Licensure: Minimum - Valid Drivers License with clean driving record. Certification/Licensure in specialized area.

Experience: Minimum - One year related service.
