Previous traveler experience is highly preferred.License: BLS certification required.Certifications: Credential in electroencephalography (R.EEG.T) is preferred.Must-Have: Knowledge in clinical neurology is essential.Traveler's permanent address should be no closer than 50 miles from assigned work site.Description: This role involves performing diagnostic testing procedures including electroencephalograms (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTM), and intensive care unit and continuous EEG monitoring (ICU/EEG).This work is performed under the direct supervision of senior staff and a physician responsible for interpretation and clinical correlation of results.The technologist must be able to analyze data during recording to ensure that information is valid and interpretable.A relevant patient history is obtained by the technologist, guiding how the test is conducted.Studies may be performed in a variety of settings including outpatient laboratories, emergency rooms, operating rooms, intensive care units, special monitoring units, or at the patient's bedside.Floating may be required based on current staffing needs, which may involve shifts in multiple units.Must be able to meet strict passing criteria on required examinations for telemetry and other procedures prior to starting the assignment.Competency renewal is required for telemetry at regular intervals.Travelers are expected to adhere to all operational requirements during their assignment.
