hourly base pay rate for this position is $26.00.

This role is also eligible for S&C's annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

The

Technician - Intermediate

is responsible for performing simple to moderate repairs and maintenance tasks within the facility or on production equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. The Technician - Intermediate works under moderate supervision and may specialize in specific areas following training.

Responsibilities: Facility Maintenance Team: Perform simple to moderate repairs and maintenance tasks on facility systems, including HVAC/electrical, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Move facility equipment and parts throughout the facility using a variety of material handling equipment, including hoists and cranes. Production Equipment Maintenance Team: Troubleshoot and perform simple to moderate repairs of production equipment and other equipment supporting the production operations team. Perform basic to moderate preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and routine activities such as lubrication. Obtain and interpret schematics and technical manuals to complete repairs. Complete fundamental technician training courses within focuses that fit business needs. Utilize hand tools and basic power tools effectively. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or systems. Perform basic computer tasks using Microsoft Office, CMMS, and Oracle to order parts. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Assist in training and coaching junior technicians as needed. Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules. Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Required: High School Diploma/GED

A driver's license in good standing. 1-3 years of experience in a related role, such as automotive, mechanical, or basic HVAC. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Sound attention to detail, with the ability to adequately maintain and repair facilities systems consistently. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals. Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned repair requests. Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e. Screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and power tools. Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and be trained in repairing various facility systems and structures within an industrial setting. Sound communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of departments. Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software. Basic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements. Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team.

Preferred: Basic HVAC knowledge NFPA 70E training Refrigeration repair certification. Environmental & Hazardous Conditions:

Continuously working indoors in an air-conditioned manufacturing-based environment. Infrequently exposed to fumes/vapors/dust/gases/odors/mist/toxic chemicals/vibration/grease/oils/lasers/other etc. Continuously exposed to moderate noise levels, including machinery and forklifts. Infrequently working with the risk of scalding/burns/other etc. Infrequently exposed to wet humid/outdoor weather/extreme cold (non-weather)/extreme heat (non-weather) conditions/other etc. Continuously working with machinery with moving parts/vehicles/forklifts/heavy machinery/sharp objects/other etc. S&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
