FINANCIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR
Job Title: Financial Projects Coordinator Overview Under general supervision from senior leadership, the Financial Projects Coordinator supports all divisions within the Department of Administration by managing and executing a range of financial and administrative projects.
Supervision Reports to the Director or Deputy Director of the Department of Administration.
No supervisory responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities Lead special projects assigned by the Director or Deputy Director, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Provide administrative and program support across divisions, including attending internal meetings and departmental events.
Conduct thorough research on municipal policies, procedures, organizational structure, and financial services.
Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from diverse sources; generate reports presenting insights, alternatives, and actionable recommendations.
Assist in developing budgeting and accounting materials to inform decision-making.
Contribute to drafting and implementing departmental goals, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Stay current in municipal finance and accounting best practices by attending professional seminars and networking events.
Provide administrative support to city boards and commissions, including meeting attendance and materials preparation.
Perform additional duties as required to support the department.
Experience & Education Experience: A minimum of five years in progressively responsible roles in accounting, auditing, or budgeting-preferably within municipal or public-sector finance.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university-or equivalent education and experience.
