DESCRIPTION
Working under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. The role requires advanced knowledge of radiologic technology. Acts as a Diagnostic subject matter expert and assists other technologists as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Prepares and positions patients for procedures using established protocols to achieve high-quality images. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies, and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical and image quality. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution techniques with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare members. Other duties as assigned. Depending on the experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Rad Tech or Senior Rad Tech level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Recent graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F) within six (6) months of hire. Must possess to be considered for Sr. Rad Tech.
Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
BART or BLS at time of hire with a commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Less than 18 months of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (Rad Tech) OR more than 18 months of experience (Sr. Rad Tech).
Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of experience in a similar role and setting. Demonstrated hospital experience. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime if necessary for staffing needs. Annual Full Pay Range: $102,667 - $127,681 (prorated if appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $49.17 - $61.15 Factors influencing compensation include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.
