Lead Database Engineer
to play a vital role in our projects. You will have the chance to work on classified programs and cutting-edge technologies that matter. In this role, you will create, update, and manage databases as well as the code that interacts with them. Key Responsibilities Assess and understand customer requirements to develop effective design solutions leveraging database principles. Apply analytical and critical thinking skills while articulating ideas clearly. Integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions effectively into our workflows. Utilize problem-solving skills to address complex challenges. Ensure ongoing program access and complete necessary polygraph requirements. Achieve Security+ certification within the first 60 days of employment. Essential Qualifications Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 5 years of experience in Database Engineering. Proficient as a Database Administrator (DBA) and Database Engineer (DBE). Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) like Oracle or Postgres. Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and modify Backend databases. Experience in virtualization or containerization of databases. Proficient in using Linux command line for database administration tasks. Possess an active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government security clearance prior to starting, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications Current Security+ Certification. Experience in AWS environments. Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB. Skilled in troubleshooting database challenges including DR, replication, and backups. Experience with performance issue resolution. Knowledge of database security and compliance auditing. Experience in automating routine database tasks. Familiar with spatial databases. Proficiency in coding (SQL, Python, Java) is advantageous.
