Recreation Leader
Job Location: East Palo Alto, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $20.52-$22.63/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Recreation Leader working with a city or government agency? We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to support community-based recreational programs and events. Under general supervision, this individual will assist with the planning and execution of activities that serve residents of all ages and promote an engaging and safe environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead recreation activities at local parks, schools, and community centers.
Assist with organizing community events, after-school programs, and facility rentals.
Set up and break down equipment for classes and events.
Coordinate inter-playground competitions and resolve routine issues.
Provide administrative support: answer phones, process payments, prepare publicity, and track participation.
Maintain, inventory, and perform basic repairs on recreation equipment and facilities.
Enforce safety protocols and facility rules to ensure participant well-being.
Administer basic first aid as needed and model good sportsmanship.
Support the training of new staff and track facility usage and activity logs.
Respond to public inquiries and provide outstanding customer service.

Enjoys working with diverse age groups in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
