Office Assistant
Job Location: Sacramento, California Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: $20-$20.50/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm Description of Positions:
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong data entry and administrative skills? Our client is seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to provide critical support during a staffing gap. This essential role helps the department meet grant deliverables and ensures smooth daily operations while a permanent vacancy remains unfilled due to a hiring freeze.
Job Responsibilities:
Accurately perform high-volume data entry into program databases
Provide general clerical support, including filing, scanning, and managing correspondence
Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally
Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) for daily tasks
Organize and maintain both digital and physical files
Assist with other office support duties as needed
Description of Company: You will be supporting a government agency in a city in Sacramento County. Experience Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Windows, M365)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Professional communication skills for phone and in-person interactions
Ability to manage filing systems, mail distribution, and general office organization
Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred
