Hawk Fabrication is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector (Steel Fabrication) to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that all fabricated products meet our established standards for quality, reliability, and workmanship. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding both customer specifications and internal quality control procedures throughout the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily inspections of structural steel fabrication, including visual weld inspections, dimensional verification, and surface preparation and coating assessments.
Assist in the inspection and verification of incoming materials.
Perform internal quality audits to ensure compliance with AWS standards and company QA/QC procedures.
Accurately read and interpret structural steel drawings and specifications.
Identify and resolve issues related to materials and fabrication processes.
Perform final product testing as needed to verify adherence to quality standards.
Generate detailed inspection reports upon completion of production.
Approve and sign off on finished products prior to shipment.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings.
Knowledge of AWS codes and quality assurance procedures.
Previous experience in structural steel fabrication and quality control is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product integrity
Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as required by the demands of the fabrication floor.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably within the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry.
Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience
Job Location: Campbell, Texas
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
