Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment. This position will float to all locations between La Jolla and Hillcrest Job Description

Working under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. Requires advanced knowledge of radiologic technology. Acts as a Diagnostic subject matter expert and assists other technologists as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Prepares and positions patients for procedures by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality images. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies, and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical and image quality. Ensures compliance with related policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution techniques with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare members. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Recent graduate of a school of radiologic technology. California Radiology Technologist - Radiography (CRT-R). California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F). Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)). BART or BLS certification at the time of hire, with a commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire date. At least 18 months of recent experience in a similar role and setting. Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Thorough understanding of various radiological systems including PACS and RIS.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience in a similar clinical role and setting.

Special Conditions

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime if necessary. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Compensation

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $116,886 - $116,886 (prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $55.98 - $55.98 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other organizational needs. The referenced pay scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University expects to pay for this position, which may vary based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
