Drive company truck/van to and from other locations for pickup and delivery. Communication with Main Campus and other company locations in the area needing services. How You'll Create Impact
Pick up and deliver to other area Zimmer Biomet locations Maintain and schedule preventative maintenance for vehicles Communicate with other Company customers that have special requests Loading and unloading truck at all stops throughout the day Deliver items to various production cells within Zimmer Biomet When not driving truck, this position assists in other areas of the department such as Salvage, Receiving or Stockroom Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management and complete a daily truck log Perform various paperwork duties such as sale to vendors, scrap log sheets, lot traceability cards, inventory counts, and other miscellaneous duties. Depending on workload, must be willing to assist in production of product as needed. Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible Must be able to work with extensive shifting of priorities and or deadlines Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision and communicate effectively with other team members, team leader, and supervision Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds or more on a non-routine basis, and transport metal bar stock on carts weighing up to 3000lbs. Safely operate material handling equipment i.e. forklift, electric pallet jacks, electric carts, etc. Must be able to do frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and heavy lifting. Must be able to use the JD Edwards computer system Must be able to work overtime on short notice Must have a very good attendance record. Operate shrink wrap machine Customer oriented Clean driving record Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules Your Background
High School Diploma or GED Must have For Hire Endorsement or Commercial Driver License and tow motor license Travel Expectations
