Pay Rate: $12 - $15 per hour Hours: 7:00am - 4:15pm, Monday - Friday
Essential Duties:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sewing machines, including changing needles, bobbins, threads, and machine feet. Read and interpret work orders, quality guidelines, and construction notes to ensure accurate garment production. Attach labels, sleeves, facings, and other components, understanding garment assembly and part differences (e.g., left vs. right sleeves). Measure and test parts using tools like a tape measure and verify machine setup for proper operation. Ensure high-quality output through regular inspections, repairs, and adjustments to correct errors. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while meeting daily and weekly production goals. Sew and assemble all parts of southeastern garments using both single-needle and serger machines. Understand plant workflow to move products efficiently to the correct assembly location. Instruct and assist others with sewing machine operations and processes as needed. Attach various garment components such as elastic, cords, zippers, hooks, and buttons. Requirements:
Must know how to sew using a sewing machine, re-thread machines and bobbins Surge experience is a plus
