Overview

We are seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team and support the effective management of configuration items, processes, and documentation within the CGN Narrowband Satellite Communications Program.

Responsibilities

Assist in the management of configuration items, including documentation, change control boards, and lifecycle management. Support the preparation and maintenance of Configuration Management (CM) documentation to ensure completeness and compliance. Schedule and coordinate Change Control Boards (CCBs) and document implementation outcomes, including Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate CM practices. Help automate CM processes using approved tools while ensuring compliance with CM policies and quality standards. Assist in developing and implementing the CM plan in alignment with Space Systems Command (SSC) policy. Coordinate the release of artifacts and artifact packages in collaboration with program stakeholders. Work with Program Management, Risk, Quality Skills Required

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, math or the sciences. Interest in learning and applying Configuration Management principles in a high-paced technical environment. Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Basic understanding of lifecycle management, documentation processes, or software tools used in CM. Exposure to Space Systems Command (SSC) policy is a plus. Hands-on experience with CM or related tools is a plus. Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000/year depending on experience and qualifications
