The Lead Market Development role is a strategic position within AT&T Business’s Distribution Strategy team, responsible for shaping and executing initiatives that expand market reach, optimize sales channels, and drive growth across business segments. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine go-to-market strategies, leveraging data insights, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to inform planning and execution.
The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking strategist with strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of sales ecosystems, and a proven ability to manage complex programs and projects. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and operational execution, with a focus on enabling scalable growth through innovative channel development and market insights.
Key Roles and Responsibilities : Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following.
Strategic Planning & Development: Evaluate emerging market trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic direction, lead the development of long-term distribution strategies, collaborate with leadership to define strategic priorities and design initiatives that align with AT&T Business objectives. Channel Expansion & Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance or develop new routes to market, review existing channel costs and productions for optimization and partner with internal stakeholders to implement changes to existing sales models. Market Research & Insights: Conduct demographic, industry/vertical focused and competitive analysis to guide sales strategy efforts. Integrate data insights into sales planning, marketing initiatives, and program execution. Program Execution & Management: Manage cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Coordinate with finance, operations, and sales teams to ensure resource alignment and execution readiness. Drive execution of key actions across business segments.

An experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions. Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership.

Our Lead Market Development, earn between $142,800 - $215,800. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
