Manager of Legal Support
to lead and develop a dynamic team of legal secretaries, a receptionist, records clerk, and administrative clerks. About the Role As the Manager of Legal Support, you will oversee daily operations, optimize workflows, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture. You’ll play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management while ensuring top-tier support for legal professionals and clients. Key Responsibilities Manage secretarial workflow, redistribute workloads, and coordinate coverage during absences. Lead monthly team meetings and facilitate small group sessions to enhance collaboration. Partner with talent development and IT teams to recruit, onboard, and train support staff. Implement technology and procedures to improve efficiency and skill development. Facilitate performance reviews, feedback sessions, and progressive discipline processes. Act as liaison between attorneys and support staff to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment. Maintain compliance with firm policies and employment laws. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 7 years in a legal industry management. Proven experience managing teams of 10+ employees. Strong background in employee relations and conflict resolution. Legal secretary experience preferred but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF tools. Familiarity with document management systems and online recruiting platforms. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Salary : $110,000 – $120,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus. Benefits : Benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k). Hybrid work environment based on job demands.
