We are very excited about this opportunity for a talented person to join our Human Resources team! Reporting to the SVP HR, this role is critical to the success of our new organization. We are a carve out business standing on our own since late last year, creating a positive, high performance culture in producing innovative and highly important aerospace parts for our great customers. The
Senior Director of Human Resources
will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all HR functions across multiple manufacturing sites in the US and Mexico. This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support business objectives, drive employee engagement, ensure compliance with federal and state applicable labor laws, and foster a positive, high-performance culture in a complex, multi-site aerospace manufacturing environment.
This is a remote role; however, preference will be given to candidates located in the Southeast region to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaboration. This role will require regular travel to support business needs.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and growth plans. Partner with senior leadership, site management, and HRLT to drive workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development initiatives. Lead change management efforts to support business transformation on applicable human resources initiatives.
Learning & Development, Talent Management
Drive leadership development and training programs to build capability and succession pipelines. Lead all Talent Management programs, establishment of effective tools, and coach/train people leaders (including HRLT) in the strategy and execution of Talent and Performance Management programs and deliverables. Promote continuous learning and professional growth initiatives. Work with people leaders and HRLT in identification of high performers, successors for critical roles, and talent gaps. Support corporate team people leaders in their team’s development needs and readiness for promotion or new experience opportunities.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
Oversee recruitment strategies and processes to attract top aerospace talent across all locations. Assist corporate people leaders in working with site HR for talent acquisition strategy and execution.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Ensure labor law and employment-related compliance with US and Mexican labor laws and regulations, working with site HR to ensure knowledge and appropriate application. Coach people leaders and support HR team members in employee relations efforts to resolve complex workplace issues and maintain positive employee relations.
Compensation & Benefits
Oversee compensation strategy, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with company objectives. Collaborate with Finance and Sr HR/Benefits Manager on budgeting and cost management related to HR programs.
HR Operations & Technology
Collaborate with HRLT to standardize/align applicable HR policies and procedures across sites while respecting local requirements and culture. Leverage HR technology (HRIS, talent management systems) to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with HRIS leader to ensure accurate HR metrics and reporting for business insights.
Culture & Engagement
Foster a culture of living our core values and ensuring our people strategies support and align with our vision and mission. Lead employee engagement initiatives and communication strategies to enhance morale and productivity.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge and experience in coaching people leaders, including executive-level in people matters. Excellent problem-solving and project management skills with experience in leading corporate-wide system changes. Strong presentation skills, including Executive and Board level. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Advanced degree highly preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in human resources generalist work in industrial/manufacturing industry.
