General Summary
The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving product marketing, managing campaign execution, and leading the organization’s organic social media strategy. This role combines creativity with strategic planning to support brand visibility, member engagement, and product growth.
Key Responsibilities
Create and design member-focused content for digital and print channels, including updates to the website, ensuring alignment with brand voice and visual identity. Own the organic social media strategy and content calendar (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), including writing posts, designing graphics, and monitoring performance. Develop and execute targeted email campaigns, landing pages, and cross-sell content to support product marketing and member engagement goals. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including ad agencies, to coordinate creative assets and campaign execution. Track and analyze content performance across platforms, including social media, website, and email, using analytics to inform future strategy. Support marketing campaigns and promotions with consistent messaging and creative execution across all channels. Maintain brand consistency across all content, ensuring tone, style, and visuals reflect organizational standards. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors. Demonstrates the Credit Union’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility. Keeps abreast of industry developments including but not limited to changes in regulations and technology. Adherence to all company policies and procedures and banking/credit union regulations. Performs additional duties as required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge And Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and member-focused content. Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) to create visually appealing digital and print materials. Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and organic content strategies. Experience working with content management systems (CMS) to update and manage website content, ensuring accuracy, usability, and brand consistency. Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and campaign creation. Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing best practices. Ability to analyze social media and campaign performance metrics to optimize content strategy. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Knowledge of brand guidelines and ability to maintain brand consistency across channels.
