Job Description
As a valued member of our team, the Payroll Administrator will support the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies. The Payroll Administrator will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to resolve payroll-related issues efficiently, and a commitment to providing consistent support to employees, management, and external agencies.

Essential Functions :
Maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Supports accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
Assist in managing manual check processing and procedures.
Administration of the automated time system.
Process garnishments / levies, leaves of absences, and employment verifications.
Conducts appropriate review of data to ensure integrity, including but not limited to 401(k) deferral elections, loans, and FSA deductions.
Processes accurate and timely year end reporting to include W-2’s.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Supports annual Worker’s Compensation, 401(k), and General audits, as appropriate.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
Review and process employee timesheets and payroll entries before transmission.
Upload, download, and organize certified payroll and labor compliance documents using LCP Tracker and other software.
Help coordinate all certified payroll is complete and processed weekly.
Assist with DIR Uploads per project requirements, submission of DAS 140 / 142 apprentice documents, and with monthly document submissions to the project owners.
Communicates with all Subcontractors regarding certified payroll / labor compliance documents are included and corrected, if needed.
Reviews negative attestations and follow up with employees and managers to support timely resolution and compliance with state and company policies.
Responds to employee and supervisor inquiries related to payroll, systems, and other related matters.
Provide positive and continued support to employees, members of management, and external agencies on a regular basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Duties :
Maintain files of timesheets, electronic payroll system reports, and adjustments for each period.
Unemployment Claims management in partnership with HR.
Core Competencies :
Strong knowledge of federal, state, local payroll tax regulations, and wage and hour laws.
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
High integrity & ethical practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of related experience managing large scale payroll systems.
Experience with ADP payroll software and timekeeping systems, preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
