Nomura Treasury, as a department within the Finance division, operates across the three divisions of the Firm (Wholesale, Retail Brokerage and Investment Management) with responsibility for management of all aspects of liquidity and funding in accordance with Board-delegated mandate and all respective regulatory requirements. The Treasury department is organized into the following four main functions: Asset Liability Management

- a critical function focusing on managing risks arising from mismatches between assets and liabilities.

It functions by implementing an effective financial management framework including fund transfer pricing, interest rate risk management and resource optimization hence enhancing its risk management, improve decision-making, and ultimately strengthen its overall financial performance.

Liquidity Management

– responsible for the management of liquidity for the Nomura Group and its legal entities.

Ensure that the Group's businesses and legal entities are able to support client needs and meet contractual and contingent financial obligations through normal economic cycles as well as during stress events. Optimize the Group's funding mix. Maintain adequate and readily available liquidity sources in the appropriate currencies and legal entities.

Funding

– execution of the firm’s unsecured financing activities and liquidity pool investment, together with currency management. Regulatory Liquidity Reporting & Data

– ensure regulatory liquidity reporting is complete, accurate, and timely. Design, implement and maintain regulatory reporting control, governance, and escalation frameworks. The Treasury ALM Vice President will be part of the Global Asset Liability (ALM) Team, supporting the development and implementation of the firm's ALM framework, with particular focus on Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB) analytics and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodologies. This role offers exposure to critical balance sheet management activities and the opportunity to work with sophisticated analytical tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: FTP Framework and Methodology: Support ongoing development and documentation of the FTP framework and methodology Assist in communication on FTP approaches and changes to business stakeholders Help respond to methodology-related queries Support periodic review of global Treasury P&L to assess continued appropriateness of existing framework Monitor funding and liquidity indicators to affirm FTP appropriately transfers the cost of liquidity Provide data and analysis to facilitate FTP framework enhancement Support design and testing of FTP system enhancements, working with Technology Work closely with Treasury Product Control on implementation of framework changes IRRBB and Balance Sheet Management: Support EVE and NII sensitivity analysis and stress testing Assist in behavioral modelling for deposits and loans Help maintain and monitor risk limits Contribute to ALCO reporting and regulatory submissions Technical and Analytics: Develop and maintain SQL queries for regular reporting Create and optimize Alteryx workflows for data processing Build automated solutions for routine tasks Support data quality initiatives Assist in model documentation and validation Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Liquidity Management, Funding, and Independent Risk Management teams Collaborate with regional Treasury teams including Powai Support stakeholder management across various levels of seniority Seniority level
