Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift The Neuroscience Institute is now hiring for a team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant for our Neurosurgery Clinic located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus! Position Summary & Highlights This Medical Assistant position will provide support to two providers in the clinic. The clinic fosters a culture of collaboration, autonomy, and welcoming environment. We provide care for patients with complex neurological conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and more. Conditions treated include: Stroke, TIA, Parkinson’s, Neuromuscular dysfunction, Migraines, MS, Dementia, Alzheimer’s. Work in tandem with neurosurgical team and support neuro-ophthalmologist, the only one in Idaho. What Will You Do Room patients, take vitals, perform prior authorizations, complete chart prep, and assist with procedures. Work with a positive team of MAs, RNs, and front office staff. Anticipate needs for successful visits, handle a high volume of patients daily. Be reliable, proactive, eager to learn, and handle stressful situations. Provide attentive, compassionate patient care with strong communication and organizational skills. Enjoy working independently and as part of a team. Work Schedule 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with no clinic on Fridays. Shift times may vary based on needs. Location: 1072 N. Liberty Street, Ste. 200, Boise, ID 83704, on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus. MA certification within 90 days from approved agencies. New graduates: MA certificate from an accredited program or school, with externship or 6 months experience. Experienced MA: 1 year experience or current certification within 90 days. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
