The Neuroscience Institute is hiring a personable and team-oriented Medical Assistant for our Neurosurgery Clinic located at the Boise Regional Medical Center campus .
Position Summary & Highlights :
- Support two providers in the clinic.
- Work in a collaborative, autonomous, welcoming, and rewarding environment.
- Provide care for patients with complex neurological conditions such as stroke, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and more.
- Collaborate with neurosurgical and neuro-ophthalmology teams.
What You Will Do :
- Room patients, take vitals, perform prior authorizations, prepare charts, and assist with procedures.
- Work alongside a positive team of MAs, RNs, and front office staff.
- Anticipate needs for successful patient visits in a fast-paced environment.
- Be reliable, proactive, eager to learn, and able to handle stressful situations.
- Provide attentive, compassionate care with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Enjoy working with patients of all ages, independently and in teams.
Work Schedule :
- 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with no clinic on Fridays.
- Shift times may vary based on needs.
Location :
- 1072 N. Liberty Street, Ste. 200, Boise, ID 83704.
- Occasional coverage at other clinics in Boise and Nampa.

Minimum Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- MA certification within 90 days from approved agencies (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, NPCE MA).
- For new grads: completion of an accredited MA program or externship, or 6 months MA experience.
- For experienced MAs: 1 year experience or current certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
