Our mission in Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) is to make Amazon.com the safest place to transact online. BRP safeguards every financial transaction across all Amazon sites, while striving to ensure that these efforts are transparent to our legitimate customers. BRP designs and builds software systems, risk models, and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.com. As a Risk Analyst in BRP, you will analyze large datasets and evaluate system processes to identify specific instances of risk, developing scalable and automated solutions to help scientists, product teams, and operations mitigate organized fraud attacks. Key job responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards using SQL, Python, and other BI tools; Create visual dashboards via QuickSight to provide actionable insights to team members, stakeholders, and customers; Develop ETL pipelines to automate business or science reports and monitors; Support cross-functional teams in executing projects and initiatives; Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding progress and challenges; Communicate complex analyses and insights effectively to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing. About the team Our team comprises Business Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Applied Scientists within the core Buyer Risk Prevention Machine Learning Team. We evaluate organized buyer fraud attacks on Amazon's global platform across various payment methods and collaborate across functions to mitigate these attacks through short- and long-term solutions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience with SQL and Excel 3+ years of experience in defining program requirements and leveraging data and metrics for improvements Experience in data visualization with Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional auditing or risk/compliance credentials Experience in program or project management Experience in compliance programs, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or similar fields 3+ years of experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines, familiar with AWS data services like S3, Glue, Athena Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
