Our client is seeking an experienced
Plant Mechanic
to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the production and manufacturing of grain-based products by ensuring equipment is reliable, efficient, and compliant with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
on production and ancillary equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot
mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Read and interpret
blueprints and schematics .
Operate shop equipment such as
drill press, band saw, bench grinder
, etc.
Perform
fabrication and welding
using arc-welding, wire welding, and flame cutting tools.
Maintain and update inventory logs.
Operate machinery such as
forklifts, skid loaders, and front-end loaders .
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Top Skills & Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting skills
across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems (including 480V wiring).
Welding and fabrication experience
is essential.
Familiarity with
single and three-phase motors
is a plus.
Ability to use standard
measuring tools
such as micrometers, meters, and gauges.
Must be safety-conscious and follow all safety protocols.
Available for
occasional overtime, weekend work, and emergency repairs .
