Lead Workday Engineer – Financials focus, with some HCM
Chicago (loop) hybrid : WFH, 2 days work from home, 3 days onsite
Salary: Up to $220K + 20% Bonus
Summary
We are seeking a Lead Workday Engineer, to lead the engineering in our Workday Financials
environment. We’re looking for someone who has technical experience overseeing the implementation, optimization and support of our enterprise Workday Financials environment. While the role will focus on Workday Financials, you’ll also have an opportunity to contribute to our Workday HCM technical environment, so any HCM experience would be a nice to have.
You will be leading a small team of other Workday Engineers, so we are looking for someone to have experience leading engineering teams, leading projects and leading Workday Systems Architecture. You will also work closely with the business stakeholders to ensure Workday implementations and enhancements are completed in accordance with stakeholder expectations to optimize business value with the Workday engineering efforts.
What you’ll be doing
– most of which is related to Workday Financials Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of applications across multiple platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. Lead the design and implementation of system integrations to ensure seamless functionality across internal and external applications and platforms. Develop and enforce application maintenance processes and policies to ensure smooth daily operations, addressing system issues, bugs, and performance problems proactively. Ensure that applications meet regulatory compliance requirements and risk management standards, particularly in data security and privacy. Mentor and manage a team of application specialists, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance. Work in close collaboration with product management to ensure software is developed that anticipates future needs and maintains option value Skills we’re seeking 10+ years of experience with Financial Systems Engineering, Application Engineering and/or Software Engineering Must have 3+ years of experience with Workday Financials Engineering with workday development technologies – EIBs, Cloud Connections, Rest APIs, Studio integrations and Reports Must have experience driving systems integration with Workday and other business systems Experience leading engineering teams in Agile environments Nice to haves Experience with Workday HCM Engineering/Management Technical Workday Certifications Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or an IT related field Seniority level
