Our client, a well-established and successful law firm, is currently seeking a
Billing Specialist
to join their growing team.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$57k - $75k
Position Overview
The Billing Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for billing attorneys and clients, managing the full monthly pro forma billing process. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This role will be on-site for the first six months. Following that period, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in the office and two days remote.
Responsibilities Of The Billing Specialist
Manage monthly pro forma selection and distribution. Process and complete attorney edits on pro formas promptly. Review billing for compliance with client billing guidelines. Finalize and submit invoices, including submission through electronic billing platforms. Conduct follow-up on accounts receivable directly with clients to ensure timely payment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Billing Specialist:
Legal billing experience. Proven ability to take initiative and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven setting. Experience with electronic billing platforms for invoice submission. Strong understanding of client billing requirements and familiarity with client-specific billing software. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong overall computer skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Billing Specialist:
Experience with Elite 3E software.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
