Technical Project Management Consultant
for a
full-time, remote

Scope of Work:
The consultant will bridge gaps in project oversight processes, review project plans and contracts, and recommend improvements across various project management areas, including schedule, cost, staffing, risk, communication, documentation, requirements, quality, change, and knowledge transfer. The role involves working collaboratively with client and vendor teams, supporting continuous process improvement, and transferring knowledge to client staff. Key Responsibilities: Manage services and work tasks, including preparing and updating Task Accomplishment Plans and monthly status reports. Analyze and recommend improvements in project management methodologies, processes, and procedures. Evaluate service delivery against contracts, and review project schedules, costs, staffing, risks, issues, communications, documentation, requirements, quality, change, and capacity management plans. Develop and implement knowledge transfer plans, and prepare final reports summarizing activities, lessons learned, and recommendations. Minimum Qualifications: At least 7 years of extensive experience applying project management principles, with 4+ years in senior roles on large or complex IT projects. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Minimum 7 years in systems engineering and technical guidance with the public sector, following IEEE 12207 standards. Experience in risk management, communication, and delivering to business and IT executives. Additional Information:
