Summary of the Role The Treasury Management Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of treasury services, including sales, operations, implementation, and customer support. This individual will lead a high-performing team to deliver innovative cash management solutions to commercial clients, drive revenue growth, and ensure operational excellence. The role also includes direct sales responsibilities, requiring strong client relationship skills and a deep understanding of treasury products and services. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the bank’s treasury management strategy to support overall commercial banking goals. Lead cross-functional teams across sales, operations, implementation, and customer support to ensure alignment and performance. Drive revenue growth through direct sales efforts and by supporting relationship managers in identifying treasury opportunities. Conduct client calls and presentations to promote treasury products and services Establish and monitor sales goals, pipelines, and performance metrics for the treasury team. Client Relationship Management Serve as a senior point of contact for key commercial clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Conduct regular client reviews to assess service effectiveness and identify cross-sell opportunities. Resolve complex client issues to maintain service excellence. Product Implementation & Onboarding Oversee the implementation of treasury solutions, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding of new clients. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline onboarding processes and improve client experience. Operational Oversight Ensure treasury operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices. Partner with internal teams to enhance digital banking platforms and treasury systems. Monitor and manage operational risk, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, client activity, and operational metrics to senior leadership as needed. Team Development Recruit, train, and mentor treasury staff to build a high-performing, client-focused team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to support professional growth. Market & Product Development Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes. Recommend new products or enhancements to existing services based on market needs and client feedback. Qualifications, Skills & Experience Education & Experience 5+ years of experience in treasury management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Work-related experience should consist of a financial institution Retail and Treasury operations.Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related. Proven track record in sales and client relationship management. Knowledge & Communication Skills Strong knowledge of treasury products, payment systems, fraud prevention, and digital banking. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation is a plus. Thorough knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies. Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and team members. Analytical & Decision-Making Skills Demonstrate analytical skills-ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem. Attention to detail and follow through Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; and word processing, spreadsheet and account opening software programs. Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations. Effective organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties. Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills Basic knowledge of Office365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone. Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities. Seniority level
