This position is located in the D.C. Department of Corrections, Office of the Deputy Director for Management support, Contract Administration Division. CDA's Operational focus is on supporting activities related to inmate care and custody. Job Summary
This position is located in the D.C. Department of Corrections, Office of the Deputy Director for Management support, Contract Administration Division. CDA's Operational focus is on supporting activities related to inmate care and custody.
The purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, administrative policies, and District regulations, as well as identifying issues/problems that may hinder contractual performance of program operations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Serves as Contracting Officer's technical representative for one or more of department's contractual services to ensure compliance with contracts/grants/agreements. Develops and implements metrics for evaluating contract performance evaluates contract-based operations to ensure efficient and effecrive operation, as well as compliance with contractual requirements. Obtains needed signatures, authorization, and certifications for contract proposal documents. Monitors contractor performance for compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual requirements. Prepares document review summaries and other documents as needed and prepares reports containing findings and recommendations resulting from contract auditing and monitoring activities.
Participates in contract negotiation, briefs senior agency management officials on results of contract audits. Coodinates with the Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) to ensure contract obligations are met. Must have knowledge of contract administration principles, policies, regulations and procedures to administer a group of contracts, and a wide range of contracting methods and types of plan and carry out procurement actions. Must have knowledge of correctional administration policies, procedures, practices and activities and the ability to utilize computer software to establish, retrieve, and maintain database; and develop reports, spreadsheets and tracking systems.
Qualifications And Educations
This position requires specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression.
License and Certifications

Work Environment
Work is primarily sedentary performed in an office setting in a Correctional Facility with some travel to other offices, facilities and varied locations for projects, monitoring, or conferences.
