The consumer, legislative, and regulatory environment surrounding ingredients has been rapidly evolving, and this new role will help to successfully navigate the changing landscape. The

Manager, Ingredients – Colors

will support the Food Additive Procurement Senior Manager and FD&C colors workstream to successfully navigate KHC’s portfolio transition to natural dyes. This is a critical moment for Kraft Heinz, and this role will have a significant impact on many of our iconic brands. The Colors Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for our color portfolio in close partnership with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure secure and cost-effective supply.

Responsibilities include:

Owning procurement strategy for color ingredients across the Kraft Heinz portfolio, balancing cost, quality, risk, and innovation.

Leading sourcing efforts to support the transition including botanical extracts, fruit and vegetable juices, and fermented colorants.

Managing supplier relationships to support long-term resilience and meet accelerated launch timelines.

Collaborating cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing to align procurement decisions with product development timelines, regulatory constraints, and brand objectives.

Monitoring supply markets, including agricultural trends, geopolitical risks, and emerging technologies relevant to natural color production.

Negotiating pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with suppliers to ensure supply security while balancing cost targets.

Supporting the qualification process for new colors and suppliers.

Tracking and reporting sourcing KPIs, cost savings, and risk exposure.

Negotiating closely with suppliers to minimize costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Supporting successful execution of product launches through coordination with suppliers, supply chain, and manufacturing.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Agriculture/Economics, Finance, or Engineering preferred).

Minimum 3-5 years of research, commodities, and/or procurement experience.

Color experience and/or knowledge is preferred but not required.

Comfortable working with ambiguity and change in a dynamic environment.

Outstanding analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional information: Salary range: $102,100 - $127,600. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus. We offer comprehensive benefits, including healthcare, wellbeing programs, and retirement plans, tailored to meet diverse needs.
