About the Position:
Synnov Group provides program management and construction management services in the Chicagoland area. We are project controls experts seeking an experienced
Senior Cost Estimator
to join our team. The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing program and project estimating tasks in compliance with the Program Cost Estimating and Procedures Manual. Estimators use established methods and valid data to estimate the present or future cost of a project, based on the information provided. The cost estimate supports the evaluation of project feasibility or funding requirements in support of planning. Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates during early planning phases through 100% Design and Construction. Quantify the scope and apply appropriate costing of labor, materials, and equipment using current market data. Maintain accurate documentation of scope items, assumptions, excluded costs, and uncertainties. Apply markups, escalation, and other soft costs to the base estimate with justification. Assist in developing project bid documents by providing relevant production data, including manpower, productions, required outages, etc. Collect and maintain historic cost data for estimating future projects. Coordinate estimating efforts with the implementation team, engineering, design, and construction teams. Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of estimating experience. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Proficiency in HCSS, Bluebeam, and other estimating software. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
