They are seeking a Configuration Engineer to join their Analytics team, responsible for designing and producing key functional areas of the EXP.O NOW platform, leveraging modern cloud-based business intelligence solutions. Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines. • Leverage modular, reusable CI/CD pipeline templates and components to automate testing, building, and deployment processes. • Ensure infrastructure is version-controlled and reproducible. • Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments. • Work with developers and architects to optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost. • Set up and maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor). • Collaborate with developers to ensure systems are observable and issues are detected early. • Implement security best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure, including mechanisms for auditability and visibility. • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (e.g., SOC2). • Maintain clear documentation in markdown format for systems, processes, and tools. • Maintain stakeholder facing documentation (e.g., release notes, spike outcomes) in SharePoint. Qualifications: Required: • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions • Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes basics) • Hands-on experience with Terraform, specifically Azure infrastructure • Solid understanding of application deployment and build tools: Java (e.g., Maven), NodeJS/Angular • Experience with Microsoft Azure, with a particular focus on networking • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and shell scripting • Strong Git skills and experience with version control workflows • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not transfer or sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (such as an H-1B visa) for this opportunity. Preferred: • Experience automating complex release processes across multiple environments • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) • Experience with Secrets Management (e.g., Azure Key Vault, Keeper) • Exposure to hybrid or Cloud-First environments • Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams • Familiarity with SAFe Agile practices • Skill in training, mentoring and sharing knowledge in both individual and group settings • Skills in debugging system level issues in either Unix or Linux • Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading workshops on DevOps best practices • Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD and infrastructure metrics that provide visibility into CI/CD performance, deployment activity, and infrastructure health and security Company: Expeditors is a Fortune 500 service-based logistics company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington, USA.
