Health Tech / Wearable Medical Devices / AI About Us We are an early-stage health tech startup on a mission to transform the lives of individuals living with epilepsy. Our team is developing an innovative, AI-powered wearable device that predicts seizures—empowering users with real-time insights, peace of mind, and improved quality of life. Backed by cutting-edge science and compassionate design, we're looking for driven, creative minds to join us in building life-changing technology from the ground up. Position Summary We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of predictive algorithms that form the core of our seizure forecasting platform. This role involves working with physiological data (e.g., EEG, heart rate, motion), designing real-time inference pipelines, and collaborating across hardware, software, and clinical research teams. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and bring a passion for applying ML to solve real-world health challenges. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize
machine learning models for seizure prediction using multi-modal time-series data (EEG, ECG, accelerometry, etc.). Preprocess and analyze large datasets
from wearable sensors and clinical trials. Develop and maintain ML pipelines
, including training, validation, testing, and deployment. Work closely with signal processing engineers, neurologists, and software developers to integrate models into the wearable device ecosystem. Evaluate performance across diverse patient populations and iterate on models to improve generalizability and accuracy. Stay current with the latest research in deep learning, neural decoding, and biomedical signal processing. Help define and implement data governance, model validation, and regulatory compliance strategies (e.g., FDA, HIPAA). Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (PhD a plus). 2+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning or data science, preferably in health tech or biomedical applications. Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.). Experience working with time-series or physiological signals (e.g., EEG, ECG, PPG). Solid understanding of model evaluation metrics, overfitting, data imbalance, and cross-validation techniques. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate research into deployable code. Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Preferred: Experience with edge ML, model quantization, or deployment on embedded systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and tools for ML Ops or data versioning (e.g., MLflow, DVC). Prior startup or early-stage product development experience. Why Join Us Mission-Driven Work:
Build technology that directly impacts lives. Ownership & Impact:
Shape the product, roadmap, and company culture. Innovative Environment:
Work at the intersection of AI, wearables, and healthcare. Flexible & Remote-Friendly:
We value results, not time at a desk. Equity Opportunities:
