KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs and control panelsLearn to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and technical documentationSupport troubleshooting of electrical faults and assist in root cause analysisParticipate in scheduled maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliabilityLearn to use diagnostic tools and software for monitoring system performance.Follow all applicable safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and NFPA 70E, to ensure a safe working environmentConsistently apply Vallourec's internal safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and electrical safety practicesParticipate in JHA discussions to identify potential risks and implement appropriate controls before starting any taskProperly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each taskMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to prevent accidents and support operational efficiencyAttend regular safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to stay informed about best practices and updates to safety policiesAccurately record all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and replacementsOffer feedback on training materials and processes to help improve the apprenticeship program and support continuous learningAll other duties as assignedEXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:Strong verbal, written and analytical skillsAbility to understand and execute written and verbal instructionsStrong interest in electrical systems and industrial technologyBasic math, reading and mechanical reasoning skills.Familiarity with hand tools, multimeters and basic electrical concepts.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of a pre-apprenticeship or vocational training programCRITICAL COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIESTeamworkAccountabilityAbility to receive and provide constructive feedbackPride in performanceContinuous Improvement/QualityCommunicationPositive responses to changeMechanical aptitude and attention to detailStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsWillingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work safely and follow detailed instructionsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machineryMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and work in confined spaces or at heightsMay require shift work, including nights, weekends and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
