1st Shift Machinist - Monday - Friday, 6am to 2pmPaid Lunch, 11 Holidays per year, 3 weeks paid vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits and Matching 401(k)Job ResponsibilitiesPut Safety first at all times, never compromise on safety for the obtainment of other objectives. Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers.Understand and interpret engineering blueprints.Understand CNC machines, and operations.Understand operations and setup.With supervision, perform uses of all precision measuring devices used in machining operations.With supervision, be able to troubleshoot and detect discrepancies in machining operations.Demonstrate good communication skills with Supervisors, Engineering and Program Managers for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues and conduct themselves in a professional manner.Maintain at all times the Highest Levels of Accuracy and Quality in all machining operations.Qualifications/Characteristics Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and inserts.Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division for the purpose calculating material fabrication.Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes and milling machines.Responsible for loading parts, operating controls, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.Interprets drawings or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production. Reports all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor.
