We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bells Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft. This position is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas. Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering The Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for managing the supply base for Bell. This includes both tactical and strategic efforts. The tactical efforts are generally technical support for specific parts, assemblies, or programs at a supplier. Strategic efforts are more general overall enterprise efforts not specifically related to any part, assembly, or program. The overall mission is to ensure material availability in support of all Bell Assembly and Manufacturing facilities that meet quality and safety standards. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. What youll be doing as a Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer Advise internal customers on supplier capabilities and capacities to assist with supplier selection. Review and provide producibility feedback for new designs. Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier related technical issues both at Bell and at suppliers. Identify and resolve capability gaps in Bells supply base. Assess new supplier capability and readiness to provide materials to Bell. Review root cause corrective action for supplier material discrepancy submittals. Skills You Bring To this Role Excellent communication skills are required. An SCME must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, internal and external customers, suppliers, and brief leaders/customers. A technical understanding of non-metallic or metallic processes, tooling, or design. A strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, materials, and equipment. The ability to identify and prioritize both explicit and implicit tasks in order to accomplish the mission. The willingness to seize the initiative rather than wait for problems to come to you. Proficient in using CAD for part viewing. Proficient in MS Office productivity tools. What you need to be successful 2 + years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or relevant/relateddisciplines required. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
