Enterprise Systems Administrator

Enterprise Information Services is responsible for Aerospace's classified and unclassified enterprise IT environment. As an Enterprise Systems Administrator (Systems Administration Specialist II/III), you will oversee the corporate server infrastructure that supports some of the company's most critical business services. You will join a company that develops cutting edge solutions for our nation's most complex space enterprise and mission assurance challenges. You will become part of the Computational Services Department, which is responsible for the development and sustainment of server and storage infrastructure for the Aerospace Corporation. This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work. What You'll Be Doing Deploy, sustain, and tune enterprise Microsoft Windows and Linux servers Support and apply best practices for critical enterprise infrastructure systems Liaison with customers in pursuit of continuous service improvement Ensure the overall health, performance, and capacity of critical enterprise infrastructure services Sustain automation processes to improve service operability and reduce Mean Time to Repair Harden, scan and remediate infrastructure to ensure compliance with NIST security best practices including the application of DISA STIGs where appropriate. Provide enterprise Windows and Linux server troubleshooting, tier 1 and 2 support What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for Systems Administration Specialist II: Current TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph Current Security+ or CISSP certification or equivalent (required for classified environments) 2 years applicable experience in applicable technologies Knowledge of MS Windows and/or Linux server infrastructure Familiarity with security patching tools such as MS SCCM/MECM, Ivanti or IBM BigFix Knowledge of server virtualization on platforms such as VMWare or Hyper-V Familiarity with enterprise class hardware such as rack-mounted or blade server chassis In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Systems Administration Specialist III include: 3 years applicable experience in applicable technologies One or more from below: Certification such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 MS PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, Bash or shell scripting skill Knowledge of high availability cluster server to include maintenance, security, availability, disaster recovery, performance analysis, and tuning.
