Eligibility & Collections Specialist

to join our Revenue Cycle team. In this vital role, you will help drive access to care by ensuring clean claims, accurate billing, and thoughtful patient communication around financial responsibilities. What You'll Do

Eligibility Support

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, including deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance Complete insurance verification for all newly admitted clients in Welligent Update and monitor patient insurance to support clean, timely billing Review and resolve eligibility denials and rejections Collect Coordination of Benefits (COB) info and support Pro Bono/Charity Care documentation Collections Support

Audit and reconcile Self-Pay balances for accuracy Generate and send statement reports to program staff Communicate directly with patients via phone, mail, and email about outstanding balances Set up payment plans in line with company policy and post payments in the EHR system Create/manage patient portal accounts and respond to billing inquiries Teamwork & Communication

Raise issues and share updates with leadership to ensure smooth operations Collaborate on process improvements and internal reporting Support other claims/collections tasks as needed What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years' experience in:

Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance, and Managed Care (MCO) Medical and/or Behavioral Health Claims & Collections

Strong knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, and denial codes Customer service and problem-solving expertise Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook How You'll Benefit
