Base pay range
$20.00/hr - $24.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Ascendo Resources Serve as a dedicated Payroll Analyst, handling full-cycle payroll processing across multiple tax entities and locations. Ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees, enforce compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and collaborate with finance, HR, and external vendors to support payroll integrity. Key Responsibilities Process payroll for multiple pay cycles, tax entities, and locations, including employees time, wages, deductions, and garnishments. Review, audit, and verify payroll data before transmitting to payroll agents. Ensure accuracy and full compliance with FLSA and local regulations. Handle federal/state/local tax setup and ensure proper employee coding for jurisdictional requirements. Manage deductions: wage garnishments, liens, child support, levies, and other withholdings per regulatory mandates. Set up employee transfers, promotions, and terminations accurately, considering tax and payroll implications. Serve as backup support to Payroll Analyst and Senior Payroll Analyst roles as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll-related records and sensitive information. Adhere to tight deadlines for payroll processing with exceptional attention to detail. Collaborate with internal departments and external contacts to gather and validate payroll information. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred. Minimum of 4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably with multi-state complexity. Proficiency in managing payroll deductions, garnishments, and understanding of compliance regulations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables). Experience manually calculating gross?to?net payroll and reconciling payroll discrepancies. Ability to use payroll/HCM systems for importing, processing, and transmitting payroll files electronically Seniority level
