About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Warehouse Specialist to independently operate a small-warhouse for special orders and product refurbishment and repackaging. This role reports into the Inventory Manager works closely with the Operations and Marketing teams to ensure media samples and user testing orders go out seamlessly, and execute our certified re-sale program. Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments. Organize and label inventory accurately. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies. Maintain clear records of inventory levels and notify team when restocking is needed.
Order Fulfillment (Special Orders Only) Pick, pack, and ship special orders for journalists, media contacts, and COSMO VIPs. Coordinate with the Marketing and Executive teams to ensure VIP packages are handled with care and delivered on time. Maintain high standards of presentation and accuracy—this role does not handle general customer order fulfillment.
Refurbishment & Repackaging Refurbish and repackage eligible returned products for our Certified Re-Sale Program. Follow inspection guidelines to determine product condition and required refurbishment steps. Ensure all re-sale products meet COSMO’s quality standards and are presented professionally.
Warehouse Organization Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Create and improve systems for product storage, labeling, and layout. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Systems and Coordination Use software tools (e.g., Shopify, ShipStation) to track inventory and manage special shipments. Collaborate with customer service, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs. Handle special projects such as kitting, bundling, or quality inspections as needed.
Requirements About You: You are an independent, hard-working, problem solver that is happy to work independently in a space and see things through completion. You’ve had previous warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and you have a proactive mindset with a solutions-first attitude. You like to spot areas for improvement and be given the opportunity to act on those. Your Experience: Experience: 1+ year in a warehouse setting Expertise: Familiarity with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and inventory management systems. Experience with Shopify and Shipstation are a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lobs and stand for extended periods Comfortable using warehouse tools (label printers, scales, barcode scanners, etc) Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to align cross-functional teams around a clear technical vision.
