This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, process integrity, and compliance.*Key Responsibilities** Prepare accurate and timely journal entries for general ledger accounts* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers* Ensure integrity of accounting data by researching discrepancies and correcting as needed* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes* Support financial statement preparation and internal reporting requirements* Perform job costing and maintain cost accounting accuracy for construction-related projects* Utilize and manage Purchase Orders and Job Costing tools in alignment with construction accounting standards* Assist with external audits, including gathering supporting documentation* Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciling vendor statements and billing entries* Work with the CFO and Controller on special projects, process improvements, and system upgrades* Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures* Contribute to operational efficiencies through continuous process improvements*Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required* Minimum of 2 years of related accounting experience* Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting systems* Experience with construction accounting and job costing highly preferred* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems); Microsoft Excel proficiency required* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines* Self-starter with a high level of accountability and integrity* Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departmentsJob Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to Friday* Overtime* Weekends as neededAbility to Commute:* Meridian, ID 83642 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Meridian, ID 83642: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
