Senior Mechanical Engineer
Selectek is working with a client in Birmingham, AL that is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who has a background in healthcare. Required: Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience in the HVAC engineering industry Design facility HVAC & plumbing systems to meet client's requirements in projects Perform facility HVAC & plumbing distribution system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and collaborate with team engineers, architects, and detailers as needed to model elements into a cohesive facility model Perform calculations, studies, and analysis of HVAC & plumbing systems and equipment to create design solutions. Specific forms of analysis include HVAC system load, sizing ductwork, sizing domestic water and drainage systems Layout of domestic water and drainage system piping and system isometric diagrams Layout of ductwork and hydronic system piping and associated air and/or water flow diagrams Support production of projects including manufacturing design drawings, computer modeling, and detailing of manufacturing and construction work scopes Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent oral and written communication skills Preferred: Professional Engineer license Experience with the design and construction of healthcare facilities Experience with 3D Modeling programs such as Revit and AutoCAD Job order details: We are looking for someone who understands that HVAC and plumbing aspects of the building. They will be the go-to person on this subject/department and oversee the work of more junior employees. We prefer someone who is licensed with seven or more years of experience who knows Revit, and if they have healthcare experience that would be helpful. Salary range: $140,000 - $155,000 Location of job: Bessemer, AL Hours & Shift: 7:30AM 4:30PM; Monday to Friday Work from home/remote: No Overtime: possible Travel: Less than 10% Work Attire: Business Casual Does the client require a background check?
