The Sanitation Supervisor directly supervises plant sanitation programs and activities to ensure the highest quality and food safety standards. How you will make contributions that matter... Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards. Supervises and instructs production team members in sanitary and pest-control procedures. Supervises and lead cleaning of equipment and work areas as defined by the COP/CIP/SIP schedules. Implement and revise all plant master sanitation schedules in accordance with State, Federal Regulations and Company policies. Performs inspections of plant premises for unsanitary practices and conditions. Reports and communicate variances and corrective action plans. Monitors HACCP as outlined in the IDFA product safety system and ensure that sanitation activities regarding HACCP are performed and documented consistently. Ensures that pest control is effective and meets all internal and external requirements. Develops reports regarding regular plant and equipment inspections, areas of concern, and corrective action plans to actively resolve deficiencies. Actively apply the production run and sanitation schedules and estimates hour requirements for completion of clean-up and sanitation times. Effective coordination with production to ensure COP/CIP and SIP activities are planned and complete. Audits and retains all sanitation and pest control records. Follows record keeping guidelines. Supports internal and external audits. Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures that are sanitation related. Monitors compliance with GMPs. Participates as a member of the Plant HACCP team and ensures that sanitation issues in regards to HACCP are in compliance. Manages Environmental Monitoring Program to ensure that all scheduled environmental swabs are completed and documented and if necessary, corrected and re-tested. Monitors Drain Cleaning Program. (Pathogen Location Program). Communicates with chemical supplier in establishing and maintaining the proper chemicals and usage of cleaning agents. Supports Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) programs and activities. Trains and instructs employees regarding quality and food safety standards and processes. Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating. Actively leads, trains, mentors, coaches, investigates, and communicates corrective action. Adheres to the Saputo code of ethics and actively applies the Saputo values. Performs other duties as assigned. You are best suited for the role if you... Have a Bachelor's degree in a science-based area (ex: Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy Science) of study preferred, or a minimum of 2 years high level plant-based laboratory experience. Are familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices. Have experience leading and following food quality and safety policies and procedures. Can follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies. Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. SAP experience preferred. Have excellent verbal/written communication skills. Can adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change. Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Have skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail. Are a strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. Can select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage and retain a team of employees. Can define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Can understand cost containment and budgetary principles. Can work flexible hours including weekends. Physical Demands and Working Environment: Exposure to wet, hot, humid and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently on an intermittent basis and 50 pounds with assistance. The employee is regularly required to work in office and production environments. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. $64,625k to $80,780K Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training. Schedule:
