We are seeking a dedicated
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
to join our school-based therapy team. This position follows the
academic school calendar , providing services to students with speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed SLP. The SLPA will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development.
Responsibilities:
-Assist the
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
in implementing therapy plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders -Conduct
individual and small group therapy sessions
under SLP supervision -Support students with
AAC devices, articulation, fluency, and expressive/receptive language needs -Collect
data on student progress
and maintain accurate documentation -Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success -Participate in
IEP meetings
when necessary -Maintain compliance with
state and federal guidelines
for school-based therapy
Qualifications:
Fully
ASHA-certified SLPA Eligible to obtain
Tennessee state SLPA license
before start date Experience working in
school settings
(preferred) Strong
communication and collaboration
skills with educators and families Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students
