Paul Gough Media
Technical Editor Opportunity
Paul Gough Media turns marketing strategy into scroll-stopping content for 2,500+ private healthcare clinics worldwide. Founded by five-time Amazon best-selling author, speaker, and former pro-soccer physio Paul Gough, we pair creative craft with data-driven disciplinepublishing YouTube shows, case-study films, podcasts, ads, and newsletters that move the needle. Our brand-new Celebration, FL studio is fast, supportive, and built for makers who want autonomy and impact. We're building a small-but-mighty in-house video team and need a technical editor who owns the whole pipelinefrom lighting a two-camera interview to crafting a polished, binge-worthy cut. Why This Role Exists
Our long-form slate (interviews, client stories, podcast-style episodes, and educational series) is exploding. We need a pro who can: capture great footage or leap in to troubleshoot on set, live in Final Cut Pro + Adobe Creative Cloud, and shape raw conversations into stories viewers can't click away fromthen carve out the best bites for social teasers. This is not a trend-hopper, phone-editor gig. It's for someone who loves multicam timelines, color wheels, audio sweetening, and the thrill of hitting render on a 45-minute master. Our Three Non-Negotiables
Hungry: Chase deadlines, study new YouTube tactics, and always ask "What's next?" Humble: Welcome feedback, fix it quick, and celebrate team wins louder than your own. Smart: Read analytics, spot story arcs, and edit for retention on every platform. Must-Haves
4+ yrs professional editing with Final Cut Pro and the Adobe Suite (Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Proven record of producing engaging long-form YouTube or doc-style content.
On-set competence with lighting, cameras (Sony/Canon/Blackmagic or similar), and clean audio capture.
Strong color-grading, audio-mix, and media-management chops.
Ability to write punchy hooks, lower thirds, and YouTube-optimized titles/descriptions.
What You Get
Competitive Base $40-55K (we reward over-performance)
Bi-weekly coaching and paid training to sharpen your craft
