Lecturer I (Psychology)

The Lecturer I will function as full-time faculty within the Department of Psychology. Teaching variety of undergraduate courses and serving department, college and university with general institutional needs. Responsibilities: Teaching psychology courses face-to-face, hybrid and/or internet as assigned (a candidate must be certified, accepted by PVAMU, for any type of online courses teaching before hiring becomes effective). Other duties include providing tutorials, grading, keeping records, posting grades (mid-term and final), submitting attendance reporting, keeping office hours, mentoring students, submitting departmental end of semester clearance items, as required, and compliance with rules and policies of the department, college and university and the Texas A&M University System. Performing service to the department, college, university, and the profession. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Doctorate degree in Psychology. Preference will be given to candidate who can teach the undergraduate psychology foundational courses. Prior teaching experience required.
