Senior HR Generalist (EE Relations /Audits)
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Senior HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR duties at a professional level in areas such as, but not limited to employee relations, process improvement, recruitment and onboarding, policy implementation and compliance. Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars. Assist Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager in other areas as needed. Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Oversight of job postings, onboarding, and termination process for department. Assists with preparing and revising job description templates and creating in HRIS system. 2. Audit's accuracy of new hire documentation and data entered into the HRIS system. Routinely audits employee documents, ensures they are accurate and in compliance with employment law regulations. Serves as point of contact and oversight of all audit requests. 3. Recommends process improvements, new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed. Creates, reviews and updates standard operating procedures for department processes (i.e. new hire processing procedures, workers compensation procedures, new project implementation). 4. Approval of job postings, offer letters, new hires and employee changes; assists with recruitment and onboarding when applicable. Oversee I-9 Reverification process and be well versed on Work Authorizations 5. Serves as third in charge of HR Department by assisting the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager in the overall management of the HR Department as needed. Attends staff meetings and travels to offsite workshops, seminars, and conferences. Train and teach HR staff on new and/or existing processes. 6. Provides guidance on employee relations and escalates urgent matters to the appropriate level of Management. 7. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 8. Works cohesively with other Generalists, Senior Management, Directors, Managers and Supervisors. 9. Process workers compensation injuries, unemployment claims and appeals. Assists with annual EEO-1 reports and salary surveys. 10. Provides excellent internal/external customer service, by responding to inquiries within twenty-four hours. 11. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field required Human Resources certification PHR or SHRM-CP highly preferred Minimum four (4) years' experience in Human Resources required Minimum two (2) years' experience in employee relations required Experience with UKG Pro software (formerly UltiPro) is highly preferred Willingness and ability to train and teach others on new or existing processes. Typing of at least 40 wpm Ability to travel to various Centers and to seminars, workshops and conferences Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional appearance at all times Proficient with Windows 2000 Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) Proficient with HRIS systems Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change Physical Activities And Requirements:
Finger Dexterity: Using fingers to make small movements such as typing or picking up small objects. Talking: Frequently conveying detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, clearly, or quickly. Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Repetitive Motions: Frequently and regularly using the wrists, hands, and fingers. Visual: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or other materials. Physical: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. May have to lift folders, files, papers, audio/video equipment, and other such items weighing up to approximately 25 lbs.
