Human Resources Generalist
plays a pivotal role in supporting MRS employees and ensuring the seamless operation of HR functions while fostering a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace culture. This position provides in-house HR support for employees at our
Cherry Hill, NJ Headquarters , with remote support for the
Dothan, AL location . Responsibilities span across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits support, HRIS maintenance, and general HR operations. Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5 days in office initially; flexibility can be discussed during the interview process) Reports To:
Director of Human Resources and Payroll Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and execute recruitment strategies. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and facilitating offers. Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding processes. Employee Relations Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries, workplace concerns, and policy clarifications. Lead or assist in investigations, incident reporting, and disciplinary actions. Champion engagement and communication initiatives; attend disciplinary and termination meetings. HR Compliance & Policy Administration Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain and update personnel files and digitize physical documentation. Monitor and interpret changes in employment law, updating policies accordingly. Performance Management & Development Support the administration of performance reviews and performance improvement plans. Advise managers and staff on goal-setting and development strategies. HRIS, Payroll & Benefits Support Maintain data integrity and confidentiality in
ADP Workforce Now
and
BambooHR . Assist with payroll tasks: reviewing timesheets, PTO approvals, and basic timekeeping adjustments. Respond to HR tickets, update employee records, and provide employee self-service support. Internal Communications & Cross-Department Collaboration Communicate executive directives, company updates, and engagement initiatives (events, contests, fundraisers). Maintain daily communication with Recruiting, Training, and Operations teams. Administrative Support Assist with general HR administration and project assignments as needed. Support processes related to unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, and internal audits. Characteristics for Success Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices. Professional, proactive, and approachable communication style. Proven ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality. Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 5–8 years of HR experience with strong emphasis on recruitment and employee relations. Knowledge of HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR) preferred. Understanding of payroll and benefits administration is a plus. Physical Demands Light lifting (0–10 lbs.) Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, walk, and stand as needed during work hours. Note:
